Nursing Learning Outcomes
The RN-to-BS program prepares graduates to:

Formulate decisions about nursing practice using a foundation of evolving knowledge from Nursing, biological, and behavioral sciences and the humanities.

Integrate ethics, integrity, and respect into patient-centered, evidence-based nursing practice.

Apply effective written and oral communication, teamwork, and collaborative strategies to influence health-related outcomes.

Analyze the role of health promotion and disease/injury prevention to improve the health and safety of populations.

Demonstrate leadership skills in the oversight of, and accountability for, safe care delivery in a variety of settings.

Employ innovations in information management and technology for the delivery of quality patient care.
Program Requirements
Our RN-to-BS Nursing Program helps Registered Nurses with an associates degree expand their career options as they advance.
Admission Requirements
- Submit evidence of current unrestricted Registered Nurse licensure (may apply during the final semester of the prelicensure Nursing program, but must be licensed prior to taking Nursing courses).
- Complete the online Admissions Application to ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ
- A GPA of 2.5 or higher in prelicensure nursing courses.
- Submit official transcripts from state-approved pre-licensure programs and all colleges and/or universities attended.
The list below reflects the number of semester hour credits that would be transferred for the prelicensure Nursing courses from the state community colleges:
Bristol - 36 semester hours
Bunker - 39 semester hours
Cape Cod - 38 semester hours
Greenfield - 40 semester hours
Massasoit - 35 semester hours
MassBay - 40 semester hours
Middlesex – 39 semester hours
Mount Wachusett - 37 semester hours
North Shore - 40 semester hours
Northern Essex – 40 semester hours
Quinsigamond - 37 semester hours
For RNs who graduated from public or private Associate Degree in Nursing Programs in Massachusetts, the NETP includes the following:
Acceptance in transfer of all courses earned as part of a Board of Registration in Nursing (BORN)- approved public or private Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) program, without time restriction*, as a body of knowledge and practical experience that is a prerequisite to National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX) completion and licensure.

Credit for Prelicensure Program Coursework Accepted Credit Accepted RN-to-BS program students will have all prelicensure program Nursing coursework accepted in transfer, excluding any remedial work, which will be reflected in the Open/Free Elective area on students' degree audits.
Nursing students who attended a Massachusetts state community college and have completed the Mass Transfer Block (General Education) may be required to complete no more than two additional General Education courses at ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ to satisfy ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ’s Domain General Education model. Nursing students who have previously completed a bachelor’s degree from a regional-accredited institution in the United States will be considered as having completed ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ’s Domain General Education Model.

Staff Nurse at a Magnet Hospital
Provide and supervise the care of patients in acute care hospitals.
Nurse Department Manager
Oversee a team of nurses as they provide healthcare services to patients and manage their records.
Director of Nursing
Oversee all nursing staff in a hospital, including nursing managers and their individual departments.
School Nurse
Administer routine medications, provide first aid for injuries, and oversee school wellness programs
Nurse Case Manager
Coordinates the long-term care of patients in health care facilities and long-term care centers.
Clinical Resource Nurse
Oversee the coordination of nursing staff that cares for a specific patient population.
