Von Beckford, a professor of composition and fiction, earned his MA and BA in English from the University of Massachusetts at Boston where he graduated Cum Laude with a minor in creative writing. He is a 2023 recipient of Honorable Mention from L. Ron Hubbard鈥檚 Writers of the Future contest, and he spoke on the concept of possession in literary and speculative fiction on an exorcism panel at Christopher Golden鈥檚 2024 horror writer鈥檚 convention, 鈥淭he House of Last Resort.鈥
