Josey Packard is what we call a 鈥渕aker.鈥 She has had successful careers as a seamstress, carpenter, and flooring installer, among other things. Making things is satisfying when those things require physical dexterity, but that鈥檚 not all there is to making stuff. Constructing an excellent academic essay fits, too: writing with insight, clarity, and perspective fits neatly within the genre of 鈥渕aking.鈥 That鈥檚 why, while often challenging, writing can also be fun. She received her undergraduate degree from Berklee College of Music, and her Master鈥檚 in Editorial Studies from Boston University.
